art smart: attack of the seashell ladies!









The Shell Ladies of Margate - Anne Carrington

How gorgeous are these shell ladies?! 
Lady Carrington made 13 of them, 7 ft. tall, using melon and oyster shells.

Each shell lady has a name and a story inspired by infamous female figure's from Margate's past.
